PRINCE Charles and Harry are in “regular contact” sparking hopes that the family rift is finally on the mend after the birth of Lilibet Diana.
The royal father and son are said to be speaking frequently – with the Royal Family keen to embrace Meghan and Harry into the fold, according to sources.

Sources told the Telegraph that Charles has been speaking to his younger son regularly – and that their relationship has turned a corner since his grandaughter’s birth.
The Royal family is keen to bring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back into the fold, it’s been said.
But Meghan and Harry are allegedly still “troubled” by “the unfortunate lapse of contact” with Charles over the last few months, according to Stewart Pearce.
Princess Diana’s former voice coach told US Weekly that the royals are now trying to move forward with their new life in California after the rift with Charles, who lets his “strong feelings settle down before responding.”
This comes after Harry accused his family of showing “total neglect” for his mental health woes and claimed dad Charles made him “suffer” in a bombshell documentary.
In the doc – The Me You Can’t See – the Duke of Sussex opens up about his struggles with his mental well-being and the trauma that haunts him after the death of mother Princess Diana.
He revealed that he’s been in therapy for “four or five years” – while also opening up about turning his back on Britain and his family to “break the cycle” of grief being passed down the generations.
The Duke blasted his own dad Charles – saying he did little to help him through his struggles.
He says: “My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, ‘Well, it was like that for me so it’s going to be like that for you.’
“That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer. Actually quite the opposite.
“If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences you had, you can make it right for your kids.”
But yesterday, a grinning Prince Charles toasted the birth of granddaughter Lilibet with a bottle of gin during a visit to Oxford.
The Prince of Wales hailed the Los Angeles birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter as “happy news”.
The royal said: “The development of technology like electric vehicles, or green hydrogen for… heavy transport, is vital for maintaining the health of our world for future generations.
“[This is] something I’m only too aware of today having recently become a grandfather for the fifth time.
“And such happy news really does remind one of the necessity of continued innovation in this area, especially around sustainable battery technology, in view of the legacy we bequeath to our grandchildren.”
And the Queen has “invited Prince Harry for lunch at Windsor Castle” in what will be their first private meeting since he quit the Royal Family, according to sources.
The Duke of Sussex is said to be meeting with his grandmother for a “chance to talk things through” as he flies back to the UK for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue next month.
According to a courtier speaking to the Mail: “It’s a typically magnanimous gesture by Her Majesty.
“The lunch will be a chance for them to talk things through.”
The Duke of Sussex, 36, has been hoping to fly back to the UK for the poignant event on July 1 – on what would have been his mum’s 60th birthday.
The invitation for lunch by Her Majesty was made before the birth of Meghan and Harry’s daughter on Friday, according to reports.
And this will be the first time Harry has had a sit down chat with his grandmother since he and Meghan sensationally left the UK and quit life as senior royals in 2020.
When Harry attended Prince Philip’s funeral in April, he only spoke to the Queen outdoors with other members of the Royal Family around, it’s been said.
It had been hoped Harry’s return to the UK could could help repair the “deteriorating” relationship with his brother Prince William.
And the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue in July now means more than ever – after the birth of Lilibet Diana – who named after Harry’s late mother.
The brothers have had frosty relations since Harry sensationally moved to the US and stepped back from royal life in 2020.
And their relationship was strained further after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah earlier this year.
But after a solemn reunion at Prince Philip’s funeral, the door was opened for further reconciliation, it was said.
Now with baby Lili welcomed into the world, Prince Harry may be able to slip away and join his brother at the unveiling of the statue next month.
