“Both are considered outsiders in the betting but the latest odds show Caitlyn is considerably more likely than Randy Quaid to be the next California Governor.”
But the site Betfair gives Quaid odds at 50/1 to be elected California governor.
Jenner announced the news of her run on an official “Caitlyn for California” site last week.

I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality,” the website read.
“But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”
Jenner is a longtime Republican and is hoping to replace Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom in a recall election.
Jenner has since tweeted several times about the race, including on April 23 when she wrote, “Our campaign will be powered by everyday Californians who deserve leadership that is accountable to them, not the special interests in Sacramento.”
Gov. Gavin Newsom has launched an opposing petition to fight the recall campaign against him.[/caption] He will be up for re-election in 2022 if he survives the recall.[/caption]She also tweeted on April 27, “The support across the country and across the state has been incredible. Stay tuned for our formal launch coming soon.”
Quaid has not spoken out again on social media since announcing his political intentions.
Both celebrities faced backlash on social media about running for office.
“The absurdity of California’s attempted recall of Newsom just got upped by Randy Quaid saying he would challenge Caitlyn Jenner. The Republicans are not sending their best,” one person wrote.
“Randy Quaid vs Caitlyn Jenner sounds like the worst fight night in history,” another Twitter user wrote.
Gov. Gavin Newsom has launched an opposing petition to fight the recall campaign against him. If he makes it through the recall, he will be up for reelection in 2022.
Other potential candidates in a possible election besides Quaid and Jenner include ex-adult film actress Mary Carey, model and actress Angelyne, and San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer.
Former gubernatorial candidate John Cox, former Congressman Doug Ose, and former President Donald Trump administration official Richard Grenell have also thrown their hats in the ring.
