TUCKER Carlson has ripped into “woke” United Airlines tonight after the company announced their new diversity policy.
The Fox News host turned his attention to the carrier on Wednesday after United Airlines announced that 50percent of its 5,000 pilots will be women or people of color over the next 10 years.
Tucker Carlson blasted the airline tonight[/caption] CEO Scott Kirby aid the airline wanted to diversify their ranks[/caption]“So, only 7percent of [their] pilots are female… only 13percent aren’t white,” Carlson said. “OK, but why exactly should we care about those numbers? An airline pilot’s job is to land the plane safely – everything else is irrelevant.”
He added that the company’s only job was “not killing people” after CEO Scott Kirby spoke about the decision.
Carlson’s comments came after United’s statement on Tuesday that “our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day.”
“That’s why we plan for 50[percent] of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color,” the airline tweeted.
But Carlson noted that as a passenger, he doesn’t care if United pilots are “black women, Malaysian Muslims or, for that matter, white men from Alabama” so long as they were the best person for the job.
“Not a single, sane person would complain about it so long as the airplanes didn’t crash,” he continued. “Safety is all that matters.
The TV pundit said being the most talented, safety-conscious pilot should be “the only standard that matters.”

He said “action provokes a reaction” and warned that the “woke” brigade continued to attack people for qualities they can’t control, it would “radicalize” them.
He said this could result in a country of “warring tribes fighting each other for the spoils,” remarking: “How long until you get white identity politics?”
“How does that make us safer? It divides and endangers us,” Carlson said about the United announcement.
He pointed out that lawmakers’ favored private plane company is solely focussed on safety rather than diversity as he slammed the “incurable brain disease called wokeness.”
Carlson then suggested that the NBA should address their racial and gender disparities and hire more women, white, and Asian people.

Next, author Mark Steyn joined Carlson to condemn Lieutenant Governor of Virginia candidate Justin Fairfax claiming he was “treated like George Floyd” by former governor Terry McAuliffe.
When Fairfax was accused of sexual assault in 2019, McAuliffe called for his resignation.
Steyn pointed out that, unlike Emmett Till and Floyd, Fairfax was alive and never assaulted by the then-governor.
Later, Carlson focussed on the January 6 insurrection after Dr. Francisco Diaz released the cause of death for four people who died that day, but not Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick.
He pointed out that Kevin Greeson, 55, and Benjamin Phillips, 50, both died of heart attacks while Roseanne Boyland, 34, died from acute amphetamine intoxication and only Ashli Babbitt’s death was ruled as a homicide.
Sicknick’s death remains under investigation.
