LOCATION, Location, Location viewers have been left gobsmacked after first time buyers landed a massive bargain – despite a huge budget.
The Channel 4 show Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer meet two couples looking for their dream properties.
Phil was tasked with helping young couple Lloyd and Karina find their first home together after years of living with their parents to save up.
Their tactics worked as they revealed they had a whopping first-time buyer budget of £430,000.
Viewers were taken aback by the revelation with one writing on Twitter: “How on earth is that real life? A young couple buying for the first time!!!”
Another added: “How the heck have some twentysomethings got a first-time budget of £430K?”
A third tweeted: “400k to buy their first home? Is his dad Bill Gates.”
After viewing three properties, Lloyd and Karina hadn’t found one they both loved equally, but Phil had a surprise up his sleeve with the fourth house.
Not only did it have four bedroom and a good sized garden like they had hoped, but Phil then revealed a secret hot tub in an out house which they loved.
To top it all off, the house was on the market for £325,000, over £100,000 below their maximum budget.
The couple decided to put an offer in and eventually had one accepted for £327,500.
Viewers couldn’t believe their luck, with one writing: “Here we go… final house for the twentysomethings. How the f**k is that £100K less? It must be the location (it’s built over a disused cemetery or plague pits.)”
Another added: “This rich young couple are really gunna save themselves a further £100k.”
