Speaking on Dancing on Ice semi-finalist Ben Hanlin‘s new podcast Ben Behaving Dadly, Ore said: “We came through a really difficult patch, I guess, essentially.
“When after Roman was first born, the first few months were really hard.
“Because… Portia and I, we never argued about anything. We were that couple.
“Even our mutual friend Iain Sterling would tell me ‘You know what’s awful about you and Portia… You never argue and it puts so much pressure on all of us.
Ore was brutally honest about his marriage after kids[/caption] He opened up to pal DOI star Ben about it[/caption] Ore was worried about the stress levels after his birth[/caption]“So when we first had Ro, obviously the stress levels had gone through the roof, sleep deprivation. We were finding it really hard.
“What had happened I guess, is that we had forgotten about the two. We were so focussed on the three of us, that working, and also on our new baby, all the love going in there, we had kind of forgotten about the reason why he was there in the first place.”
Speaking about the importance of making time for your partner, he said: “And that was the two of us. And the tip is this essentially, it is with tongue in cheek, to always remember that the most important people, if you have a co-parent in the house, the most important people are the two of you.
“Because without that connection and synchronicity, then that’s how things break down.”
He and Portia never argued before they had Roman[/caption]Ore, who married Portia in 2015, had in the past praised his wife for supporting him on his way to victory on Strictly with pro Joanne Clifton.
Speaking about his wife, Ore told Hello: “She keeps me grounded. She’s my choreographer, stylist, physiotherapist as well as wife.”
