Povetkin, 41, produced a stunning fifth-round knockout win over the British heavyweight in the garden of Matchroom Boxing’s headquarters.
Whyte had out-boxed his opponent for much of the first contest with the Russian knocked to the canvas twice before turning the tide.
But the 32-yer-old fully intends to banish those memories and reclaim his WBC interim title in what’s being dubbed the ‘Rumble on the Rock’ rematch in Gibraltar.
