LINE of Duty has seen a whole host of famous faces come and go during its run.
With series six now underway after returning to BBC One on Sunday night, let’s take a look back at where some of the show’s former characters are now.
Craig played DI Matthew ‘Dot’ Cottan in the first three series of the show and was revealed to be the ‘Caddy’ who was working as a fixer for an organised crime group.
He was killed off after he escaped from AC-12 custody but not before revealing that he was working for someone whose name began with H…
Since leaving Line of Duty, Craig has appeared in drama Indian Summers as well as Channel 4 comedy Year of the Rabbit.
He also appeared in British medical crime drama Temple alongside Mark Strong as character Keith Sullivan.
Sadly, Craig split from wife Susan Lynch – who stars in Sex Education – after 12 years of marriage.
Lennie’s character DCI Tony Gates had viewers gripped in series one back in 2012.
Tony is the head of the serious crime unit TO-20 and is renowned for returning the best crime figures of any unit in the Central Constabulary.
However this brings AC-12 to his door amid suspicions of corruption and in the end, Tony meets a crushing end after stepping in front of a lorry.
Since the show, Lennie has appeared in hit US series Fear the Walking Dead since 2018 as well as creating and starring in Sky Atlantic drama Save Me and its sequel, to much acclaim.
Keeley’s character Lindsay Denton was always a mystery to viewers, who couldn’t figure out if she was corrupt or not.
Lindsay received a life sentence after being charged with conspiracy to commit murder following the death of a number of colleagues.
She protested her innocence and was acquitted in series three, however she is killed by Cottan after refusing to accept a bribe and conceal evidence later in the series.
Keeley is one of the most prolific faces on TV, and has starred in a number of big TV projects since Line of Duty, including creator Jed Mercurio’s other hit series, Bodyguard.
Keeley also starred in ITV hit The Durrells as well as Mrs Wilson and this year alone she has appeared in Finding Alice and It’s A Sin.
She has also starred in a number of films including Misbehaviour and Rebecca.
Stephen played undercover detective John Corbett in the fifth series of Line of Duty.
Going by the fake name of John Clayton, Corbett was uncontactable for several months before appearing as the leader of an organised crime group.
He met a grisly end when his cover was blown, having his throat slit and bleeding out on the floor.
Stephen had already made a name for himself on TV thanks to his role as Combo in This is England.
But since Line of Duty he has gone on to appear in A Christmas Carol and White House Farm as well as star alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in The Irishman.
His other film work includes Rocketman and Greyhound alongside Tom Hanks.
Daniel’s stint on the show was notoriously short and not so sweet, after he was shot in the neck at the end of series three’s first episode.
Danny was a troubled police officer and saw his team investigated by AC-12 following the shooting of a suspect.
His shock death at the hands of a colleague lead to an investigation into historic child sex abuse and has gone down as one of the most memorable moments in the show’s history.
Since his one-time stint on the show, Daniel has appeared in a number of TV shows including Good Omens, Temple and most recently, Des on ITV and White Lines on Netflix.
He has also appeared in a number of British films including Swimming with Men and Fisherman’s Friends as well as World War II epic, 1917.
