CORONATION Street’s Ben Price has warned that there’s no escape for Nick after getting involved in the “really messy” drug storyline with Leanne Battersby and her son Simon.
The actor, who plays Nick Tilsley in the ITV soap, has lifted the lid on what’s in store over the next few weeks – and it doesn’t sound good…
As viewers will know, Leanne (Jane Danson) is being forced to deal drugs by Harvey to pay off her son Simon’s debts.
When Nick finds out the truth about what’s been going on behind his back, he wants to do everything he can to help.
He recently said: “Nick’s in for a penny in for a pound.
“Nick doesn’t really know what he’s dealing with right now but he’s there, like he always is for his mum and for David, that’s Nick’s character.
Leanne recently lost her youngest son Oliver to incurable form of mitochondrial disorder and has been struggling to keep afloat[/caption]“Peter runs away from a situation, David fights against a situation whereas I think Nick just digs in.
“He’s here, he knows it’s going to get really messy but he’ll stick by her, stand there and fight and do whatever needs to be done.”
“He wants to give Leanne stability but I think he’s going to find it difficult with Simon, especially now he’s got his own son. I hope he doesn’t have to make a choice…”
This week Leanne’s secret is nearly blown when her sister Toyah sees her leaving Victoria Court with Harvey.
The therapist (Georgia Taylor) jumps to conclusions and assumes that Leanne is having an affair with the crook.
Nick goes around to confront her about it and spots Harvey’s jacket in the flat.
Things take a turn for the worst when Leanne goes to the police to confess what she’s been doing and ends up getting arrested.
A worried Simon doesn’t know what to do and turns to Nick for support and tells him everything.
What will Nick do to help them?
