EDINSON CAVANI is looking increasingly likely to leave Manchester United this summer.
And Argentine heavyweights Boca Juniors are the leading contenders to secure his coveted signature.
Boca Juniors are the odds-on favourites to sign Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani[/caption]Cavani has made a significant impact since arriving at Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
The Uruguayan has bagged seven goals and provided two assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
The 34-year-old signed a one-year deal with United, who have the option to extend for a further 12 months if they wish.
However, if there’s no extension – Cavani will be able to leave on a free transfer in June.
And that, according to his father Luis, looks the most likely scenario after telling reporters that his son ‘does not feel comfortable in England’.
He also claimed that Cavani would ‘like to play for Boca’.

Luis Cavani told TYC Sports: “My son does not feel comfortable in England and wants to be close to the family again.
“Edinson is going to end up playing in South America. I want Edinson to play in a team that fights for something important.
“Edinson had many conversations with (Juan) Riquelme (Boca Juniors second vice-president) and he would like to play for Boca.
“He was always seduced by the idea of playing in Boca. If he returns to South America he is leaning towards Boca.
“By the middle of the year he will return to South America. My son’s idea is not to continue there, he wants to return.”
Bookmakers Betfair have created a market for Cavani’s next destination and unsurprisingly Boca Juniors are the odds-on favourites at 4/6.
Uruguayan Primera Division champions are next at 7/2 with Penarol further back at 6/1.
Brazilian champions Flamengo are available at a double-figure 10/1 while Internacional, who finished second in the division, are outsiders at 14/1.
