A MUM has revealed her four-step process for making perfectly fresh laundry.
Australian cleaning whizz Chantel Mila revealed her tricks for keeping whites immaculate and colours bright in the wash.
Chantel, who posts as “Mama Mila”, says she begins the process by fastening zips and buttons and turning clothes inside out.
This prevents stretching and fraying around the hems.
Next, she tackles big stains, and applies bicarbonate soda and eucalyptus oil to any marks with a toothbrush.
This works as a chemical-free “pre-wash stain remover”, and the bicarbonate of soda preserves whiteness and reduces yellowing.
Chantel then shared how she doesn’t use fabric softener but instead prefers to use half a cup of white vinegar.
She explained: “[White vinegar] is particularly great for musty gym clothes, towels and bed linens.
“It helps reduce build up and leaves clothes soft and deodoriser.”
Chantel’s last tip was to keep the washing machine clean, which helps to keep clothes in a good condition.
Her four-step process has racked up over 57,000 views, and many people praised the advice.
One said: “Good stuff.”
