ONE of the world’s biggest transport companies has suspended deliveries to Britain — blaming Brexit red tape.
Germany-based DB Schenker said several UK-bound consignments had been stuck at Channel ports because customers’ paperwork was not properly filled out.

Only last week DB Schenker said on its website: ”Brexit? No problem! There is optimism that the movement of goods can continue to flow freely if the customs declaration goes smoothly.”
Much of its work is shipping parts for UK car-makers.
Its decision may be behind Honda’s announcement yesterday that it was halting production for a few days.
DB Schenker also delivers to furniture chains with products and white goods such as washing machines and fridges to distributors in the UK.
But the firm is not thought to move food from Europe so there are no fears that supply chains to supermarkets will be affected.
Parcel company DPD has already said it is pausing its road delivery services into Europe.
