A NEW trend on TikTok has seen scorned singletons reveal the “craziest” ways they discovered that their partners were cheating.
Mandi Kay Bowles from Oklahoma, was the first user to kick off the trend, revealing that she had caught out her ex thanks to a strand of hair.
Speaking in her video, Mandi explains: “About two or three years ago I was dating this guy and I started noticing that his responses to our conversations were not really making sense.
“He was sending me text messages that he was supposed to be sending somebody else.”
Mandi explained that she had “called him out on it” but he had tried to brush off her accusations.
She continues: “Fast forward, he comes over to my house wearing a hoodie that I had never seen before.
“When I went to give him a hug I noticed a very long hot pink synthetic hair.”
Mandi, who at the time had shorter, orange-dyed hair explained that once again he had simply tried to dismiss her accusations.
But just a few months later a stranger contacted her on Facebook who shared a screenshot of her conversations with Mandi’s then boyfriend arguing about her.
Mandi then asked her followers to submit their own stories of how they had caught a partner cheating – and the stories that followed were shocking.
Brittany Ciara was next to share her horrifying tale of how a UTI led her to discover her man was cheating.
She explained in her video that she had visited the doctor who initially diagnosed with a UTI and gave her some medication.
Brittany explained: “Two days later they call me back with my test results and they’re like hey that medication isn’t going to work you’re going to need to come in and get some different ones.”
When she asked why the doctor explained that she had tested positive for E. coli in her urine, caused by feces matter.
“It turned out my boyfriend didn’t go to the gym, he was having sex with another man” revealed the scorned TikTok user.
Danielle Brown was another TikTok user to respond to Mandi’s video with her own “crazy” break-up.
Explaining it was just one example, she said that her ex had let the cat out of the bag when he had come back late with a Starbucks.
She says: “I go to take a sip of it because he didn’t get me one and I look at it and of course, this dummy went with his ex and they wrote her name on the cup because she obviously ordered their coffee.”
When confronted Danielle’s boyfriend claimed that it was the name of the woman in Starbucks at which point she lobbed the remaining coffee in his face.
Next up was a bloke known as Coconut Jon who revealed the heartbreaking way he discovered his ex-wife had been unfaithful.
In his clip, he explains that after working non-stop for three weeks, he decided to go and grab a couple of beers when he had the night off.
He was then approached by a man who asked if he was “here with the blonde” who happened to be his wife.
The man then proceeded to explain to Jon that her “husband” worked long shifts but if he “played his cards right he wouldn’t be turned down”.
Jon adds: “He then proceeded to describe to me what my bedroom looked like.”
