Horse racing tips: Why this 14-1 longshot has everything going in his favour for a big run at Chelmsford

This six-year-old is rarely out of the first three and saw out 3m2f well when third at Kelso last time out.

He handles cut in the ground and will be doing his best work at the finish again. The handicapper has left his handicap mark alone which gives him solid claims.

MICHELE STROGOFF (3.55 Chelmsford)

Trainer Michael Appleby is a master of getting the best out of his horses and can go close with this seven-year-old.

He was very rusty when down the field on comeback here last month and will be much fitter today.

He’s not won for a good while but is a stone below his last winning mark and can hit the frame.

Aside from these, SunSport resident tipster Templegate has picked a horse in each race on Monday.

Going like the winner when taking a late tumble last time.

3.05     Smuggler’s Blues         

Plenty of talent and hard to beat if seeing out this trip.

3.35     Galurin 

Has decent form in France and comes from top team.

Went close at Sligo last time and top 3lb claimer on board.

12.45   Mig Des Taillons          

Won well at Fairyhouse latest and can defy penalty.

Easy winner at Catterick and has much more to offer.

Won well despite running green here last time out.

2.15     Weather Front 

Good run at Cheltenham last time and this is easier.

2.45     No No Mac      

Should be much fitter for his comeback at Hexham latest.

3.15     Sin A Bhfuil      

Has been running in better races than this in Ireland.

Well bred and ran on well into third on debut at Newcastle.

Won with plenty in hand here latest and should go well.

Well bred and James Doyle has chosen him over the other Godolphin runners.

3.25     Durabella        

Another good effort at Kempton latest and has more to offer.

3.55     Lady Alavesa   

Went close on last visit here and looks overpriced.

4.25     Rockesbury     

Has shown best form over this course and distance.

4.55     Celtic Classic   

Didn’t get the run of the race at Lingfield last time out.

5.25     Fulbeck Girl (treble)    

Has been knocking on the door and went close at Wolver latest.

WOLVERHAMPTON

4.05     International Law       

Every chance of landing a fifth win here.

4.40     Qaaraat           

Good win here two starts ago and had bad draw latest.

5.10     Embrace The Moment            

Got stuck in the mud last time and will like this track.

5.40     Silent Partner  

Promise in bumpers and interesting on Flat debut.

6.10     Rhubarb Bikini 

Improver who had plenty in hand when winning at Chelmsford latest.

6.40     Glasvegas        

Solid fourth here last time and this longer trip should be ideal.

Well bred and showed lots of promise on debut at Newmarket.
