A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the ‘unexplained’ death of a woman in Poole.
Dorset Police have launched an investigation into the 44-year-old woman’s death, but said the cause of death is currently unexplained.
Police were called to Cashmoor Close in Poole[/caption]Officers were called by paramedics to an address in Cashmoor Close at 5.39am on Sunday morning.
A house and car have been cordoned off for most of the day and two officers were stationed outside the property while crime scene investigators went inside.
Police confirmed a 46-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of murder and helping officers with their enquiries.
The woman’s next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends.
“At this time it is not clear what the cause of the death is, but we are following all lines of enquiry and a detailed investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.”
