Paul Nicholls’ mare took another step forward when striking in a Doncaster Listed contest in February.
There should be a lot more to come this season and she could be a few steps ahead of the handicapper.
SAM COOKE (3.15 Doncaster, nb)
The November Handicap is the last big race of the turf Flat season and my fancy comes here fresh which suits him best.
He was second in good company at Ascot when last seen in July and trainer Ralph Beckett will have him well tuned up for this challenge.
The 1m4f trip suits ideally and he loved soft ground when bolting in at Chester three starts ago.
BRANDO (1.30 Doncaster, treble)
Kevin Ryan’s flyer almost landed the Group 1 Champions Sprint at Ascot three Saturdays ago.
That was a mighty effort over this six-furlong distance in soft ground.
He gets those conditions again today and this is a huge drop in class down to Listed level.
DONCASTER
11.50 Imperium Blue
Followed up York win with close second last time out.
12.20 Enchanted Night
Didn’t get the clearest of runs when third on debut at Yarmouth.
12.55 Tranchee
Consistent and won well here at the St Leger meeting.
1.30 Brando (treble)
Went close in a Group 1 last time and should be too good.
2.05 Ice Sprite
Knocking on the door and has more to offer for William Haggas.
2.45 Banna
Bred for soft ground and good fifth on debut at Windsor.
3.15 Sam Cooke (nb)
Lightly raced and will love the juice in the ground.
3.45 Masked Identity
Good second at Newmarket last time and on a fair weight.
KELSO
12.00 Lord Du Mesnil
Top chaser, interesting back over hurdles for this comeback.
12.32 Cedar Hill
Game winner over course and distance last time out.
1.07 Milvale
Needed comeback run and has run well here before.
1.42 Looks Like Murt
Went well over hurdles latest and well weighted for chase return.
2.17 The Ferry Master
Good comeback run at Hexham and should like this longer trip.
2.52 Homing Star
Knocking on the door and went close at Stratford last time.
3.27 Green Zone
Improved effort to finish second at here 14 days ago.
3.57 Fete Champetre
Well bred and yard won this race 12 months ago.
AINTREE
12.25 Dubai Guest
Musselburgh bumper winner who should be wound up for hurdles debut.

1.35 Mohaayed
Won County Hurdle two years ago and goes well at Aintree.
2.10 Bennys King
Consistent last season and well up to winning at this level.
2.40 Thomas Darby
Supreme Novices’ Hurdle second who is well up to this grade.
3.20 Romain De Senam
Dropped 3lb for a good effort at Stratford last time out.
3.50 Hear Me Out
Easy bumper winner on debut and yard won this race last year.
WINCANTON
12.40 Oleg
Going well when taking a tumble last time and can bounce back.
1.15 Flic On Voyou
Two good wins over timber and has much more to come.

4.05 Mont Segur
Has had a wind op since winning at Ludlow last time out.
CHELMSFORD
4.30 Likely Successor
Going well and capable of winning this open contest.
5.00 Trumpet Man
Made it three wins on the spin at Haydock and stays well.
5.30 Leopardo
Easy winner on debut and this longer trip should suit.
6.00 Terrichang

6.30 Gumra

7.00 Pope Gregory
Had plenty in hand when winning here nine days ago.
