JONATHAN Ross’ daughter Honey has slammed Instagram for advertising clothes to her that she can’t fit into
The 23-year-old model took to her story earlier today to show her outrage at the social media platform for selling “thin people brands” to her.
Honey Ross hit out at the popular social media platform for trying to sell clothes that won’t fit her [/caption]Posing with minimal make-up, her hair tied back into a pony and the Strawberry Frog filter on her face, Honey decided to share her anger with her 39.4k followers.
She wrote over a selfie of herself: “Insta stop advertising thin people brands to me like @daily_sleeper and @realisationpar – yes, I’d love to wear their lovely things but do they cater to plus sizes!?! NOPE”
Clearly extremely unhappy about what’s being advertised to her, she continued: “It’s annoying because they sell “oversized” style things but then they’re like… a body bigger than a size 16!?! Never met her!? Whomst??
“There are obviously bigger fish to fry, but if I’m essentially being forced to look at advertising if I’m on these cursed platforms, at least show me s**t that acknowledges fat people exist pls and thanks”
The 23-year-old rolled her eyes as she shared her frustration with her followers[/caption] She begged for Instagram to acknowledge all shapes and sizes [/caption] Honey then decided to share some brands that she likes with her followers[/caption]She ended her rant by sharing some of her favourite places that she buys from that she loves to shop from.
“Some glam brands I do love that cater to plus sizes – @lirika.matoshi @selkie @fashionbrandcompany
“All more expensive slow fashion, but really beautiful pieces,” she said.
This isn’t the first time the writer has been left outraged by the social media platform.
Instagram decided to remove this picture from Honey’s account[/caption] Honey describes herself as a “writer, podcast host and pre-raphaelite muse”[/caption]The activist and advocate for body positivity raged against Instagram after the photo-sharing site banned one of her pictures.
She shared the notice telling her the picture – a snap taken from behind in a swimming pool – “goes against our community guidelines”.
The fuming 23-year-old, who is the daughter of Jonathan Ross and Jane Goldman, asked Instagram: “Why don’t you just say you hate fat bodies?”
She posed with her hands behind her head, writing: “If you can see it from the front, wait till you see it from the back .”
Despite clearly having more nudity in it, this photo wasn’t deleted[/caption]Honey later posed without any clothes on overlooking the sparking blue water – but that picture wasn’t banned.
The social media giant’s message to Honey explained that it doesn’t allow “nudity and sexual activity” even though there appeared to be none in the banned shot.
That same week, Honey made headlines after speaking out about the “toxic diets” her parents put her on when she was a teen who “hated her body”.
During a segment on Loose Women she revealed how she struggled with her weight as a teenager and didn’t like it when her famous parents “tried to give her solutions to her problem” which was to “lose weight”.

“I felt I didn’t have a place to carve out my own identity. I found Instagram and I was like, I can express myself and show people who I really am.
“It was a way for me to figure myself out better. I have parents who were raised in the same society as all of us.”
Honey continued: “They saw me, a teenage girl coming home saying, I hate my body.

“My advice to parents is keep that as far away from your children as possible, if you want them to have a good relationship with food and their bodies growing up do not shame them.”
The star has also reflected on how far she’s come over the past year with her battle with anxiety and depression – that stopped her leaving the house.
She told fans: “My mental health will always be complicated – it will most likely always be a part of my life in some way. I’m currently on two different antidepressants but who knows, maybe one day I’ll only be on one – or even god knows, none.
“But for now this is me. I’m doing better, things are starting to feel brighter, leaving the house feels easier, waking up isn’t impossible – but this is temporary.”
