LUCIFER fans are convinced they’ve solved the season five finale twist after a major cast clue was dropped.
Season 5A dropped last month on Netflix and has already thrown up lots of questions, theories and anticipation for the second half of the series about one character in particular.
Lucifer’s right hand demon, Mazikeen, was introduced in the first season and ever since fans have been questioning her demonic heritage.
While the finale is yet to be completed following coronavirus delays, an intriguing cast listing on IMDb hints at the character’s family tree.
In season 5A, fans were introduced to Mazikeen’s mother Lilith, who passed away in one of the episodes before the two could make amends.
But now a cast listing has been posted on the online database, IMDb, for the season finale that suggests we could be seeing Mazikeen’s father.
Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: “IMDb lists Ibriel as a character in episode 16 (the finale).”
Ibriel is Mazikeen’s father in the Lucifer comics, a spin-off from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series.
An influential celestial and the architect of Heaven, could this be the big family reunion we’re all hoping for Mazikeen.
The demon’s ancestry has always been hotly debated amongst fans, and now viewers have been introduced to her mother, it makes sense for her father to be featured.
Lucifer actor Tom Ellis recently teased fans the second half of season five will hit Netflix in time for Christmas.
The star shared the important update while revealing they still have the finale to shoot before it can go ahead.
The Lord of Hell himself revealed to Pilot TV podcast that fans might not have to wait that long for the next installment of the show to drop.
“The second eight episodes, I’m not sure when they’re going to drop because we’ve still got the finale,” he told anxious listeners.
“We were about halfway through it. So we go back, we start with that, and then we go straight into season six.
“So hopefully that’ll be ready to go, I would imagine, sort of Christmastime or early next year.”
