MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly taken former Borussia Dortmund starlet Reda Khadra on trial.
But club and player have been left frustrated after international clearance didn’t come through in time for the winger to feature against Doncaster in a friendly.
Reda Khadra is hoping to win a contract at Manchester United[/caption]According to MailOnline, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not get the chance to see him in game-action before the start of the season.
But it would have taken some performance to affect that result – United’s U23s were thrashed 5-0 by the League One outfit.
Khadra, 19, is a free agent after his contract expired at Dortmund this summer.
The former Germany Under-18s international is a right winger, and will be hoping to impress Solskjaer enough in training to merit a permanent deal.
Another player hoping to catch the eye of Solskjaer and United is Bournemouth star Josh King.
The striker is determined to leave the South Coast this summer following the Cherries’ relegation from the Premier League.
King, 28, who was on United’s books as a teenager, was the subject of a failed £20m bid from the Old Trafford giants in January.
The Norwegian ace said: “I will not lie, because I really wanted to go there in January, but what happened, happened.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is continuing his Old Trafford rebuild this summer[/caption]“I know why things happened. We’ll just have to wait and see. There is a lot that is open.
“I have a dream to play in the Champions League.
“Whether it will happen this season or in two years, I do not know. But I have a dream about it that all boys have.
“What if United are still interested? That would be amazing. I was at United for five years and I learned lot there.”
United have also been linked with King’s Bournemouth team-mate David Brooks.
