SEXUAL assault allegations have recently surfaced against Issues frontman Tyler Carter.
Carter has not yet responded to the accusations, but the band announced they have dropped him amid the allegations.
The 29-year-old rock singer has been a part of several rock bands – and released his own EP record.
Carter, 29, is a rock singer who was known for singing in bands including A Path Less Traveled; Woe, Is Me; and Issues.
He was born December 30, 1991 in Georgia.
Carter began playing the drums at a young age, and after playing in a praise band at church, joined A Path Less Traveled in 2008, according to AllMusic.
The following year, he joined Woe, Is Me, and in 2011, he resigned from the group.
Carter then began working with Tyler “Scout Acord and Miachael Bohn, and formed the band Issues.
In 2015, Carter released his own solo EP.
Sexual assault allegations against Carter surfaced on social media on Monday.
Carter was accused by a user of sexual assault and grooming a minor victim.
“d**n happy 10 year anniversary to number [s] that was a crazy time in my life cause i made so many new friends, became dookie, and officially got assaulted by @official tc while i was 14 years old…” the user tweeted.
“that doesn’t even include all the grooming and constantly asking me for nudes for the entirety of our ‘friendship” while i was very underage,” they claimed, without providing any additional details regarding his alleged experience.
Another user tweeted about the allegations, claiming they had a similar experience.
“These allegations are sadly true. Tyler added me on Snapchat when I was about 14-15 and would talk about how cute I was and how soon after would ask me for nudes,” they tweeted.
“He knew I was underage and thank god I was smart enough to never send him anything but I believe it 100 percent.”
Carter has not yet publicly responded to the allegations against him.
He did not immediately respond to The Sun’s request for comment.
Representatives for Issues did not immediately respond to The Sun for comment on behalf of Carter.
Issues members Josh, Sky and AJ posted a statement on Tuesday saying they have parted ways with Carter amid the allegations.
“Recently we have become aware of allegations against Tyler carter, of grooming and sexual misconduct,” Issues tweeted.
“We, Josh, Sky, and AJ, will no longer be working with Tyler.
“We believe survivors,” the statement added.
One user said they hope more information will surface to help provide clarity on the allegations.
“I understand believing survivors and im hoping more informtation will come out soon to clarify.,” the user tweeted.
“What happened to innocent until proven guilty. I would have preferred the band say they are looking into the accusations and the future will be determined with more info,” they added.
Tyler Carter, former frontman of the rock band Issues, has been accused of sexual assault.
One user alleged that Tyler assaulted them at age 14.
The user claimed that Tyler “groomed” them, and asked for nudes.
Another user alleged that Tyler added them on Snapchat “when I was about 14-15” and “would ask me for nudes.”
Carter has yet to respond to the allegations.
The band Issues posted a statement on Tuesday, saying they are no longer working with Carter.
Another user said she was “shocked” at the situation.
“never expected him to these kind of things and i’m shocked wtf,” she tweeted.
“nevertheless i respect the decision, thank you for believing survivors. godspeed to you three”.
Another user applauded the move from Issues.
“Thanks for dropping him this is very sad news,” one user tweeted.
Carter opened up to AltPress about coming out as bisexual in 2015.
In August 2018, Carter became engaged to fiancé Trent Morey Leffler.
The couple have yet to get married.
