CORONATION Street stars crammed round a table to enjoy a booze up in the sunshine after finishing filming for a week.
Veteran actress Maureen Lipman joined co-stars Mikey North and Sam Robertson at The Dockyard in Salford Quays yesterday.
The group gathered around a table for some post-work refreshments and a good chin wag.
Maureen could be seen pulling her mask down to take a sip of her drink while chatting.
She was also wearing plastic gloves on her hands.
It is the first time Maureen has been seen back near set since filming resumed.
She had originally expected to return in September owing to strict filming rules for the soap.
Maureen told Lorraine Kelly on Good Morning Britain back in June: “I’m very aware that I’m incredibly lucky to have Coronation Street to look forward to in September when the wrinklies get unrolled.”
The soap resumed filming on June 9 and was the only soap to remain on-air with standard episodes during the pandemic shutdown.
New safety measures in place on set include a fixed cohort system that designates crew members to a specific studio or the Coronation Street exterior lot.
The filming units will maintain safe social distancing with cohort managers in place to make sure everyone stays apart.
Because of these rules the soap has been able to continue filming despite a local lockdown being imposed on Greater Manchester.
The rules ban people from more than two households meeting together in close quarters.
