DEAR DEIDRE: ALL I want is to enjoy my new life with my girlfriend but my ex-wife constantly causes trouble.
We divorced three years ago after ten years together and have daughters aged seven and five.
My spiteful ex-wife won’t let me enjoy my new life with my girlfriend[/caption]My team and I are working safely from home but we are here to help you as always.

I met a lovely girl at the beginning of the year. She reminded me of what being happy is like. I am 38 and my girlfriend is 34.
But my ex causes trouble over when I have the kids and what we can do.
It was so bad during lockdown that my girlfriend walked out for a while. My girls are always happy with me and I want to make it work with my girlfriend.
My ex has someone new herself, so why can’t she be happy for me?
DEIDRE SAYS: Your ex-wife might see you treating your new girlfriend with more consideration than she believes you showed her – but antagonism does nothing but damage kids.
Tell her you want to get along, if only for your daughters’ sakes.
If she feels there are issues, suggest Family Mediation (nfm.org.uk, 0300 4000 636).
