“CULT” dad Chad Daybell said he shot and buried a raccoon in his backyard “pet cemetery” where Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow were later found dead, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Daybell, who was arrested last week, texted his late wife, Tammy, claiming he was burying the animal in his fire pit, located on his Idaho property, AZFamily.com reported on Friday.

According to the unsealed affidavit, tweeted out by reporter Kim Powell, sent a text to Tammy, who died last summer just weeks before Daybell’s current wife Lori Vallow’s children went missing, explaining what he was supposedly doing.
“Well, I’ve had an interesting morning! I felt I should burn all of the limb debris by the fire pit before it got too soaked by the coming rains,” Daybell texted Tammy just before noon on September 9.
“While I did so, I spotted a big raccoon along the fence. I hurried and got my gun, and he was still walking along. I got close enough that one shot did the trick. He is now in our pet cemetery. Fun times!”
The day prior, September 8, was the last known sighting of one of Vallow’s children — Tylee Ryan, 17 — in Yellowstone National Park.
