DEAR DEIDRE: I AM still having sex with my husband and we sleep in the same bed – even though he has said he wants to divorce me.
He admitted he didn’t want me any longer as he doesn’t love me. We have been together for 16 years and have a seven-year-old boy.
My husband’s dad died very suddenly last year and it has certainly left its mark. I had thought everything was fine.
We were doing lots as a family and seemed to be carrying on as normal, until he dropped his divorce bombshell six weeks ago.
I’m 39 and my husband’s 41. Our sex life is still as fantastic as it always has been. When I ask him, he says he doesn’t know what he wants.
My team and I are working safely from home but we are here to help you as always.

DEIDRE SAYS: Our reactions to grief vary but some withdraw from those closest to them because they feel so vulnerable to loss.
It is a way of trying to regain some control.
Still wanting to have sex suggests he still cares for you.
Tell him he needs to get understanding for his grief before making any major decisions and that he should contact Cruse Bereavement Care (cruse.org.uk, 0808 808 1677).
