A tweet of a bust of Corbyn with the words “replacement for Edward Colston statue sorted” received support and thousands of “likes”.
One wrote: “A real man of our time.”
Another Labour supporter wrote: “I think there will be many statues to this great man in the future.”
Scores of others simply wrote “Yes” followed by a red rose emoji – indicative of the symbol of the Labour Party.
Others were quick to point out the irony – as the Labour Party is currently being investigated for anti-semitism under Corbyn’s leadership.
Another wrote: “No, the aim is to reduce the number of statues of racists, not add to them.”
Yet another tweeted: “That will cheer up Bristol’s Jewish community.”

Another user poked fun at the Labour leader’s embarrassing defeat in the 2019 election when he tweeted: “Yes, remembered for helping deliver a Conservative majority.”
