BIG Brother took the UK by storm when it hit our screens in the summer of 2000.

It might not be on the box anymore, but E4 are bringing us Big Brother: Best Shows Ever – so here we take you through the winners from the show.

Who are the Big Brother winners?

Big Brother became one of the most successful British TV shows of all time, and regularly drew millions of viewers per episode.

The final series was shown in 2018, with producers announcing it would come off air after 18 years.

It was first aired on Channel 4 before switching to Channel 5 in 2010.

The show also spawned a celebrity version of the show, but here we take you through who the 18 winners of the civilian series are, starting with the OG champ:

2000 – Craig Phillips

Craig Phillips won the first ever series

The builder, now 48, famously gave his prize money to his friend with Down’s syndrome, Joanne Harris, to pay for her heart and lung transplant.

He has since gone on to forge a successful media career as a DIY and home improvement expert, and has hosted a number of design shows.

2001 – Brian Dowling

Brian Dowling briefly hosted the show

The Irish presenter, now 41, rose to fame after winning the second series of the show, and was also the public’s favourite when he appeared in Ultimate Big Brother in 2010.

He hosted the series – between Davina and Emma – and now presents The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

2002 – Kate Lawler

The model and DJ, now 40, was the first female to win the show – in the same series that made Jade Goody famous – and went on to feature in numerous lads’ mags and Ann Summers campaigns.

She appeared in the 2006 celebrity series of Love Island, and now hosts a show on Virgin Radio.

2003 – Cameron Stout

Cameron Stout has gone on to star in pantos

The former Scottish fish trader, now 49, gave up the day job after winning the fourth series.

He has appeared in numerous pantomimes, and writes for both local and national newspapers, including The Sunday Post.

2004 – Nadia Almada

Nada Almada now works as a hair stylist

The transgender ex-bank clerk from Portugal, now 43, won the hearts of the nation – and regularly tops the polls of the best-loved housemates of all time.

She released a single ‘A Little Bit of Action’ and starred on Ultimate Big Brother.

In 2016, it was revealed she is now working as a hair stylist in London.

2005 – Anthony Hutton

Anthony Hutton appeared in a number of reality TV series

The dancer from Newcastle, now 38, famously enjoyed a brief romance with co-star Makosi.

He went on to star in a number of reality TV series, including Sky’s The Match and Ultimate Big Brother, and has also done some modelling as well as working as a hair stylist.

2006 – Pete Bennett

Pete Bennett raised awareness of Tourette’s syndrome

During his appearance on the show, during which he enjoyed a fling with co-star Nikki Grahame, he raised awareness of Tourette’s syndrome.

The star, now 38, admitted on The Jeremy Kyle Show in 2010 that he had wasted all his winnings on an addiction to ketamine.

He has since set up a cleaning business, and reportedly charges £100 per hour.

2007 – Brian Belo

Brian Belo won a payout after accusing Towie creators of stealing his idea

The 32-year-old went on to release a single, ‘Essex Boy’.

In 2013, he took the creators of Towie to court, accusing them of stealing a TV show idea he had been working on – he received a £1m payout from ITV in 2016.

2008 – Rachel Rice

Rachel Rice now works as a teacher

After winning the show, she used her prize money to pay off her student debt and gave the rest to charity.

The star, now 36, currently works as a teacher at a school in Wales.

2009 – Sophie Reade

Sophie Reade has gone on to pose for Playboy

After winning the show, the star from Cheshire, now 31, went on to enjoy a modelling career – including posing for Playboy.

She is now Instagram-famous, and regularly posts raunchy snaps to her account’s 127,000 followers.

2010 – Josie Gibson

Josie Gibson has had one of the most successful careers of all the winners[/caption]

The TV star, now 35, has had one of the most successful careers of all the show’s winners.

She has appeared on Celebrity Wedding Planner, The Wright Stuff, Celebrity Juice, Loose Women and This Morning, as well as releasing a number of health-related books and DVDs after qualifying as a personal trainer.

2011 – Aaron Allard Morgan

Aaron Allard Morgan opened a bar with his winnings

The star, now 39, set up a bar in his hometown of Weston-super-Mare after winning the show.

He has also appeared on The Wright Stuff and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

2012 – Luke Anderson

Luke Anderson has become a chef

Since winning the show he has become a professional chef.

The 39-year-old was the first transgender man to win the show, and has also become an ambassador for LGBT rights.

2013 – Sam Evans

Sam Evans supports charities helping children with hearing difficulties

The Welsh star, now 30, reportedly returned to his job as a Debenhams stockroom assistant after winning the show.

He was born with hearing difficulties, and supports charities to help children with the same disability.

2014 – Helen Wood

Helen Wood entered the limelight following a reported affair with Wayne Rooney

The former escort, now 33, first came to prominence back in 2011 when it was alleged she’d had a threesome with footballer Wayne Rooney.

After winning the show, she secured a Daily Star column, and also released a tell-all autobiography.

2015 – Chloe Wilburn

The star, now 30, also returned to her day job in Doncaster after winning the show.

During the series she described herself as a “chav” and said her dream was to move to Benidorm.

She now works as a medical cannabis activist and CBD seller.

2016 – Jason Burrill

Jason Burrill has appeared in a number of films

The pro stunt double, now 49, went on to appear in a string of films after being voted the nation’s favourite – including The Serpent, The Dark Return of Time, Strange in the Worlde, and Essex Vendetta.

He has also starred in various pantomimes in London.

2017 – Isabelle Warburton

After winning the series, the star, now 24, went on to donate some of her winnings to charity.

She also founded a beauty salon, Summer Bunny Studio & Training, and regularly updates her 91,000 Instagram followers.

2018 – Cameron Cole

Cameron Cole was the youngest ever winner – and also the final one

The 19-year-old became the youngest person ever to win the show – and also the final one.

During the show, the vlogger revealed he is gay in a moment described by host Emma Willis as one of “the loveliest things” she’d ever seen on TV.

When does Big Brother: Best Shows Ever start?

Seeking to entertain us in lockdown, Big Brother’s Best Shows Ever Show will hit screens THIS SUNDAY (June 14, 2020).

It will be on E4 at 9pm to 10.15pm.

There are 10 episodes in total.

They will run each week from Sunday to Thursday for two weeks.
