ROAD rage murderer Kenny Noye has sparked fury by returning to the scene where he stabbed Stephen Cameron to death 24 years ago.
The double killer was photographed at the M25 and M20 interchange where he knifed Stephen, 21, during a fight.
Noye made the trip just days after the 24th anniversary of the killing in Swanley, Kent.
Stephen was stabbed in front of his fiancée Danielle Cable, 17.
His father Ken Cameron, 73, said: “It’s like Noye’s walking on Stephen’s grave. I feel sickened that he has gone back to the place where he took my son’s life.
“It is clear he hasn’t got an ounce of remorse for what he did.”
Noye, 73, was released from jail a year ago after serving almost 21 years for Stephen’s murder.
He previously stabbed undercover detective John Fordham to death in 1985 during the Brink’s-Mat bullion robbery investigation.
Noye was acquitted of the officer’s murder after claiming self-defence but jailed for 14 years for handling stolen gold and released in 1994.
The villain was still on licence when he stabbed electrician Stephen to death following a row on 19 May 1996.
Stephen and Danielle had just left his family’s Swanley home on a trip to London’s Brick Lane to buy bagels.
New driver Danielle was behind the wheel of Stephen’s red Rascal van when it almost collided with Noye’s Land Rover Discovery on a slip road leading to a roundabout where the M20 meets the M25.
Angry Noye got out of his vehicle at the traffic lights and punched 6ft 4in tall Stephen in the eye.
When the younger man began to get the better of Noye in a fight, the vicious gangster went back to his car to grab a knife and stabbed Stephen twice, penetrating the heart and liver, as Danielle looked on in horror.
A witness later described how Noye smirked as he got back into his car and drove off on the M25 towards Dartford — leaving Stephen dying on the roadside.
Yet The Sun can reveal how Noye returned to the murder scene at 4pm on May 28 in his black VW Tiguan.
He bought the car brand new for £25,000 after his release from Standford Hill open prison last June.
During his trip, Noye went into Swanley village and was spotted at an Asda store close to St Mary’s Church burial ground — where Stephen’s remains lie.
Stephen’s late mum Toni’s ashes were scattered there in 2016.
After leaving Asda, Noye made his way along the B2173, past the road where Stephen and his family lived before joining the A20.
It was the same route Stephen and Danielle took.
Noye drove up to the interchange roundabout and the traffic lights where he stabbed Stephen.
The killer took the clockwise entry on to the M25 heading in the direction of Surrey, where he now lives.
A witness said: “I could not believe my eyes when I saw Noye in Swanley.
“He is notorious in this area and I did a double take when I saw him there.”
Stephen’s dad said: “For him to be driving at the same roundabout, and close to the anniversary of the day he murdered my son, is sickening to me.
“I’ve had to be in lockdown for the past few months because of coronavirus and there’s him driving from wherever to Kent to do a bit of shopping.
“It’s totally wrong. I was hoping lockdown would feel like being back in prison for him, but apparently not.”
Ken added: “I was told by a probation officer that Noye was not allowed to enter the county of Kent.
“He’s laughing in the face of authority and pouring salt on my wounds.”
Probation sources say he would only be barred from going near Stephen’s relatives — who no longer live in Swanley.
It is unclear why Noye was in the Swanley area.
His ex-wife, Brenda Tremain, and their two sons Kevin and Brett all live elsewhere in Kent.
Noye was living on a 20-acre estate in West Kingsdown, Kent, when he stabbed DC Fordham ten times in 1985 after finding him hiding in the grounds.
The officer was watching the underworld fence as the Flying Squad probed Noye on suspicion of handling bullion from the £26million Brink’s-Mat raid at Heathrow in 1983.
Noye and Brian Reader, of Hatton Garden heist fame, were charged with murder but acquitted by an Old Bailey jury.
But 11 bullion bars were found at Noye’s home and he and Reader were convicted in 1986 of handling stolen gold.
Reader, now in poor health, lives eight miles from Swanley in Dartford, having served his sentence for the 2015 Hatton Garden raid, but it is not known whether he is still in touch with Noye.
After murdering Stephen, Noye left the country in a private jet provided by late Brink’s-Mat pal John Palmer.
He made his way to southern Spain where he was captured in August 1998.
His arrest came the day after Danielle was secretly taken by British police to the area and identified Noye from a distance. She remains under witness protection.
Noye was extradited back to Britain in May 1999 and went on trial at the Old Bailey the following year where Danielle bravely gave evidence.
Retired Det Supt Nick Biddiss, who led the murder investigation, said: “Personally, I don’t think he should be allowed in Kent at all, let alone go anywhere near the scene of the murder. Or that supermarket, which is a few hundred yards from Stephen’s final resting place.
“He is taking the Mick. He’s saying, ‘I’m Kenneth Noye and I can do what I like.’”
Barry Phillips, former operational head of the Met’s Flying Squad, said: “It’s bizarre behaviour to return to the crime scene.
“I don’t believe for one minute Noye was showing remorse. It was arrogant and disrespectful behaviour towards Stephen and his family.
“Maybe he was thinking of all the best years of his life that he lost for taking the life of a young man in a totally unnecessary act of violence.”
