NOW we are allowed outside for more exercise, you may want to boost your get-fit routine.
But with limited options and the cost of at-home kit racking up, your motivation may run out of puff.
So, here are my top tips for getting a spring in your step, keeping positive and upping your activity levels for less . . .
Winning at walking: If you need to up your steps, what could be a better motivation than getting paid in credits to do so?
Check out the app Win Walk — it counts your daily steps and rewards you with e-gift cards from famous brands, for free!
Bit of all right: Fitness trackers can encourage you to get moving, track your steps and compete against yourself, day-to-day.
While popular devices such as the FitBit Alta HR cost around £129.99, you can bag an effective device for far less.
I like the FitStep 14-in-1 Activity Tracker with Swim Function & Sleep Tracking, just £9.99 at Wowcher, down from £69.99.
It comes in different colours, includes heart rate, calorie counter, pedometer, and sleep monitor and is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems.
SAVING: at least £60.
Not a band idea: For resistance work at home, use resistance bands which I’ve found for around £8.99 on Amazon.
They can be used anywhere and make a perfect, basic at-home gym system plus you don’t need much space.
If you need guidance, search “resistance band workouts” on YouTube.
Great outdoors: There are hundreds of free-to-use, outdoor gyms across the country.
With kit from cross trainers to leg presses they cater for both cardio and resistance workouts.
