A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl has been seriously injured after a German Shepherd bit her face today, sparking a police hunt for the dog’s owner.
The dog, which was off its lead, mauled the toddler around 3.30pm in Nottingham before leaving with its female walker.

Police are now appealing for information about a red-haired woman who was walking the dog in Lenton Abbey.
She is in her late 40s, about 5ft 5in tall and was wearing shorts, cops said.
Following the horrific attack in the Enderby Square/Woodside Road area the girl was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre hospital.
The extent of her injuries isn’t known.
A police spokesman said: “Officers were called to the Enderby Square/Woodside Road area in Lenton Abbey, shortly after 3.30pm today (Tuesday 19 May 2020).
“A German Shepherd, which was off its lead, bit the girl before the dog and its female walker left the scene.
“The walker is described as aged in her late 40s, about 5ft 5ins tall and has red hair. She was wearing shorts.
“The girl has been taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre.
“The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.”
Inspector John Lees, of Nottinghamshire Police, said appealed for witnesses to come forward.
He said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or who knows the identity of the dog walker to please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 458 of 19 May 2020, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
