THE RAPPER, Kanye West, has reportedly bought his childhood home in South Shore, Chicago for just $225K.
The home was originally bought by Donda’s House, a charity he set up after his late mother, to save at-risk youths from crime but has since broken ties with.

Just days after being named as a billionaire by Forbes magazine, the father of four decided to take back his childhood home after it was abandoned and riddled with trash, broken windows, and demolished doors.
According to the Daily Mail, the home will need at least $60K’s worth of repairs as it is basically falling apart.
They also reported it would be cheaper to demolish the home rather than fixing it.

On the outside of the home, the boards that hold the home together are coming apart and the roof is crumbling with several shingles missing.
The home has also become a dumpster for those who need to get rid of their trash and every corner is covered in crumbled water bottles and even drug paraphernalia.
The backyard door is also boarded up as the door was either stolen or it broke off.
The windows are also broken[/caption]
Some windows have also been painted over[/caption]

The windows of the home are either broken or have been painted over in an effort to keep them in place.
The doors have been bolted with hefty locks and there is glass around them, meaning someone either vandalized the home or tried to break in.
Surprisingly, there is no graffiti.

There is no fence around the home, except a poorly placed chain link to keep people out of the property.
And the stair railing is bound to fall over at any point as it is only being held to the wooden staircase with a few bolts.
Even insects have made their property their home as it is covered in cobwebs and live spiders.
All the appliances have been ripped out[/caption]
The walls and floors are also destroyed[/caption]

Mold has also taken over[/caption]
As for the inside of the home, most counters have been ripped out, leaving only a countertop against a wall – as well as a lone fridge door.
Glass sprinkles around cabinets which were purposefully broken, there are chunks missing from the walls and the paint has already been ripped off in some rooms.
The wooden floors have been destroyed, along with the closet doors ripped.
All that’s left in one of the rooms is a bed frame and some items of clothing. Mold has also started to take over.

Kanye cut ties with the charity after they got into a feud with his wife, Kim Kardashian[/caption]

Back in 2016, the rapper Rhymefest – whose real name is Che Smith – started Donda’s home in order to pay tribute to his childhood friend’s mother while also trying to help at-risk youth. He served as the creative director.
However, Kim Kardashian got into a feud with Rhymefest, which caused issues with the foundation.
It is also said that Kanye’s political views caused the charity to cut ties with him, leaving the home in the hands of another.
It was said that the home would serve as the charity’s headquarters, complete with a recording studio and a museum – but that never happened and Rhymefest even took Donda West’s name off the non-profit.

Donda originally bought the home in 1980 where it served as the rapper’s childhood home but sold the property in 2004 when she moved to California to be Kanye’s manager.
She was an English professor at Chicago State University and reportedly mentored Rhymefest.
Kanye was very close to his mom, who unfortunately passed away in 2007[/caption]
Unfortunately, she passed away in 2007 from cardiac arrest after having a series of cosmetic procedures and going home after her surgery, despite being advised to stay in the hospital.
Her cause of death was ruled as “complications from surgery” and it is said that vomiting and medication may have also contributed to Donda’s death.
The NY Daily News claimed Donda took up to “20 pain-killing Vicodins in less than 24 hours.”
