THIS Morning descended into chaos as a fire starts and an alarm rings out during a cooking demonstration.
MasterChef’s John Torode was teaching Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield how to cook a McDonald’s McMuffin over video call.
However, things didn’t go to plan as there was fire, fire alarms and technical issues throughout.
At one point, John is showing the pair how to toast the muffins without knowing his tea towel is on fire behind him.
Phil tries to warn John – but the delay in the video call means his cries go unheard.
Luckily, he finally spots it and drags the towering inferno into the sink – only for the fire alarm to go off.
The presenters are in hysterics at this point as the carnage rips through their segment.
Holly told John to go lie down in a “dark room” to calm down from the fire.
Fans also thought it was hilarious, with one person saying: “Absolute carnage on #ThisMorning absolutely love this programme”
“John Torro setting his kitchen on fire on This Morning is genuinely one of the funniest things I’ve seen in ages #ThisMorning”
“My favourite bit is him casually popping the muffins into the toaster whilst everyone’s screaming “FIRE!” Fire #ThisMorning”
“CRYING at this morning there was a fire #ThisMorning @hollywills @Schofe”
This comes in the same episode where Holly and Phil cracked up about TV psychologist Emma Kenny vigorously petting her squirrel.
She appeared on the show to talk about how she adopted the animal, but presenters and fans alike were shocked by how she stroked it.
Fans also found it funny, with one person saying: “actual highlight of my day is schofe is like ‘stop it’ while this woman is boutta of mice and men this squirrel #ThisMorning”
Another added: “Is she polishing his head… #ThisMorning”
A third said: “I’ve anxiety with her rough petting of that squirrel #ThisMorning”
They later clarified that the squirrel wasn’t harmed at all – and was happily running about Emma afterwards.
