The rules around parenting children during the coronavirus lockdown came into question on Good Morning Britain.
Cabinet minister Michael Gove told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain: “You should not be moving children from home to home.”
But minutes later on BBC News he was forced to correct the record and clarify that kids would be able to see both parents.
He said: “On a previous broadcast on Good Morning Britain, I stressed where possible, this should be kept to a minimum.
“It is the case that children under the age of 18 can see both parents. I was not clear earlier.”
And Mr Gove later tweeted: “To confirm – while children should not normally be moving between households, we recognise that this may be necessary when children who are under 18 move between separated parents. This is permissible & has been made clear in the guidance.”
