MAKE meaty savings on your grocery bill.
With a few more weeks of chilly winter weather to go, filling dishes made from beef, turkey, pork and chicken are a hearty way to feed the family.
This week at Morrisons you can pick up three healthy meat cuts for just £9, so you can meet your savings targets too.
Here are three great recipes, all taking less than 30 minutes to make.
(Preparation: 10 minutes. Cooking: 20 minutes, Serves 4)
YOU NEED:
METHOD: Blanch the potatoes for 3-5 minutes.
Cook the sausages and cut into bite-size pieces. Scramble the eggs.
In a large non-stick pan, grease and cook potatoes until they are golden brown.
Turn down the heat and add the garlic. Stir thoroughly.
Sprinkle cheese over the potatoes and garlic and, once melted, stir well so that all the potatoes have an even coating.
Add the sausage pieces, stir and leave on a low heat until they are heated through.
Next, add the scrambled eggs, stir and cook through until warm.
At the last minute, add the spinach so it wilts.
Transfer to a large bowl or serve individually.
Garnish with spring onions and a drizzle of hot sauce.
(Preparation: 5 minutes. Cooking: 15 minutes, Serves 4)
YOU NEED:
METHOD: Put the beef in a bowl and add the peppers, onion, garlic, fajitas seasoning, half the lime juice and oil. Mix and set aside.
For the salsa, mix sweetcorn, tomatoes, chilli, spring onions and parsley. Season.
Fry the beef mixture for 3-4 minutes or until the beef and veg caramelise.
Warm the tortillas in microwave.
Put some salsa on the base of each tortilla, top with the beef and veg mix.
Sprinkle over the coriander, roll up, serve with cream and cheese.
(Preparation: 5 minutes. Cooking: 15 minutes, Serves 4)
YOU NEED:
METHOD:Place the turkey mince into a large mixing bowl with the redcurrant jelly, egg, breadcrumbs, grated carrot and spring onions.
Mix well with clean hands and divide the mixture into 4 pieces.
Shape into burgers and grill for 5 minutes per side until no pink meat remains.
Serve in seeded burger buns with a little gem lettuce leaf and a few slices of tomato.
Add a spoonful of sweetcorn relish or tomato sauce, if desired.
