HOLLYOAKS fans were terrified tonight as Toby went on a rampage after discovering Romeo had sex with his wife Celeste.
Teenage bakery worker Romeo (Owen Warner) was seduced by Celeste after she invited him in to fix her shower.
He’s been single since Lily McQueen’s death last year, but soon becomes infatuated by the older woman.
When Toby finds out he throws vandalises flowers in the street and shouts and screams as he struggles to control his temper.
Toby is the twin brother of Mitchell Deveraux, and the long-lost child that Martine Deveraux gave up years ago.
He is being controlled by wife Celeste, with the pair set on getting revenge.
The scheming newcomers – who are played by actors Bobby Gordon and Andrea Ali in the Channel 4 soap – have set viewers on edge since their arrival.
But alarm bells are ringing about their real relationship – with viewers convinced they’re not a real couple after being seen sleeping in seperate rooms.
One said: “Why exactly do Toby & Celeste sleep in separate rooms? Are they even a real couple? #Hollyoaks.”
Another added: “Toby & Celeste aren’t an actual couple so what are they ??”
Someone else added: “Is she his adopted sister, auntie or friend.”
Actress Andrea told Digital Spy last month: “What’s nice about how it’s played out is that Celeste is the brains and Toby is the muscle! They have a dynamic that works.
“The two of them are coming in, meeting new people and testing the waters.
“It’s seeing who they can play with, poke at and prod! That’s also their way of trying to settle in.”
Next week, the troublesome duo will throw a house party in a bid to find out their neighbours’ secrets.
Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji) makes a pass at Toby during the party, and the couple see it as their way in to driving a wedge between the Deverauxs.
He goes back the Deverauxs flat and quizzes her on her upbringing.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
