MAD Men star January Jones has finally confirmed that she dated The Bachelor’s Nick Viall.
The 42-year-old appeared on the podcast Armchair Expert With Dax Shephard when she revealed that she did in fact go on a “couple of dates” with the reality star.
January, who previously said they were just friends, told Shepard and co-host Monica Padman the 39-year-old “slid into her DMs”.
At the time, the TV star was a Bachelor enthusiast, who would frequently discuss the show on talk shows and online.
Although a loyal fan, January admitted she wasn’t a fan of Nick, who competed on The Bachelorette twice as well as Bachelor in Paradise before becoming The Bachelor in Season 21.
She said on the podcast: “I was just blasting that guy.
“Nick slid into my DMs, and he’s like, ‘I’m so sorry that your perception of me is so negative, I’d love to take you out to coffee and see if I could change your mind?’. And I squealed.”
Yet, January admitted it took a bit of convincing for her to agree to go on a date with him.
She shared: “I was like, ‘I hate that guy!’ [but] my sister was like, ‘If you don’t go you will forever regret it’. So I agreed to go on a date with him — or to drinks, or whatever.
“As I met him I was rounding the corner and I saw him, and he has a very distinct walk, and I had this instinct to run up to him and wrap my legs around his waist, you know like they do? [But] I stopped myself.”
The Spinning Out star admitted that their first date “was good”, although all she wanted to do was “grill” him about the Bachelor Nation.
She revealed: “All I did was grill him about the show. We went on a couple dates and then… yeah.”
Janaury added that she was pleasantly surprised by Nick, who had been cast as the ‘villain’ during his time on The Bachelor and its spin-offs, and said she was attracted to his intelligence.
The X-Men star added: “The thing that attracted me to Nick was that he seemed — I mean, he was cast as the quote-unquote villain, but he had a bit of a brain, so there was something else there.
“That’s all we were talking about, really. But I got a lot of juicy inside stuff.”
Dating rumors about the pair began in early 2018 after the reality star liked many of January’s Instagram posts.
The actress then revealed on The Late Late Show With James Corden that Nick challenged her to battle him on Lip Sync Battle.
