DANNY Dyer has sparked rumours he’s launching his own clothing line and lifestyle brand after trademarking his name.
The EastEnders star, 42, has filed documents with the Government’s Intellectual Property Office so he can use his name to flog clobber, plus DVDs and CDs, computer games, watches and jewellery and even household items like kitchen utensils.
It will also prevent others from using ‘Danny Dyer’ or his signed name to cash in on his fame and status to make money.
The documents – which have been approved – stay in place for 10 years before they need to be resubmitted.
He’s filed papers to register his name in seven different product classes covering 100s of items.
As well as clothes and footwear, they include toys, games, Christmas decorations, accessories, computer games and apps, books and stationery, fridge magnets, mouse mats and mobile phone case and covers.
The actor is estimated to be worth around £4 million thanks to his long-running role in Walford as Mick Carter, film parts, video game voiceovers and money-spinning panto appearances.
In 2011 released his autobiography Straight Up and in 2016 The World According to Danny Dyer: Life Lessons from the East End hit book stores.
His plans don’t stop there though as he recently revealed he has his sights set on playing James Bond.
He said: “Why not have a working-class James Bond? Would we ever see it really? A Cockney Bond running around? I would love to have a go at it.”
