NEW Year’s fireworks will light up our skies on Wednesday, with spectacular displays taking place up across the UK.

London
If you’ve nabbed tickets, you can watch the show from Victoria Embankment, the South Bank, Westminster Bridge, Waterloo Bridge or Albert Embankment.
However, the sought after tickets have long sold out – but Primrose Hill, Parliament Hill, the Millennium Bridge and Alexandra Place all make excellent viewing spots.

Glasgow
Get set for Ashton Lane’s legendary Hogmany party this year.
Tickets are £25 per person, and you can spend the evening bar-hopping before rounding off the decade with a stunning fireworks display.
Make sure you book in advance though – the celebration is always packed.

Manchester
This year will see Deansgate light up with a cacophony of beautiful fireworks.
The yearly display usually takes place in Albert Square, but will move over to Deansagte this time around – next to the cathedral.
Entry is free but boozers beware – there is no bar and alcohol is banned.

Cardiff
This year’s Calennig celebrations are being held at the Welsh capital’s Winter Wonderland.
Once again, the fireworks are free to watch and there will be live music and other attractions laid on.
You can hit the ice in your skates for an additional £15.
There’s a big ice rink at Winter Wonderland – and the funfair itself will be open until 1am.

Newcastle
This year head to Gateshead for a fabulous New Year’s display.
It’s a free event, so all you need to do is arrive before the clock strikes 12.
There will also be an earlier display at Haymarket at 6pm, which is also free.

Edinburgh
The Scottish capital’s famous street party is back for another year.
Tickets are £35.50 per person, with £10 off the price for Edinburgh residents.
Expect traditional ceilidh dancing, live music and sounds from some of Scotland’s biggest names – all topped off with a breathtaking fireworks display that lights up the castle.
