A TESCO shopper says her oven looks good as new after using the supermarket’s 80p cream cleaner to remove dirt and grime.
Happy customer Helen Wood, 35, was left stunned by the results, which showed the outside of her oven gleaming after using only “a little elbow grease”.
The mum-of-three even went as far as claiming the Tesco alternative did a better job than big-name brand Cif.
The Tesco cream cleaner is 20p cheaper than Cif, and £1.20 less expensive than Oven Pride.
Helen, a general operative from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, shared her cleaning hack on the Reduce Your Supermarket Spend Facebook group.
She said: “That stuff dissolves everything the steam cleaner alone wouldn’t take off.
“My cooker [is] like new again inside and out now.”
Helen – who has daughter Jasmine, four, and sons Logan, three, and Jonathon, one – told The Sun how the cream cleaner “was easy to use” even on tougher oven marks.
She said: “The stubborn marks around the rings took a little elbow grease and I used a steam cleaner to heat the surface up before putting the cream cleaner on.
“Inside the oven once I got the top layer off with a steam cleaner, the cream cleaner got to work and took the remainder of the grease off.”
Cream cleaner is multi-purpose surface cleaner that can be used in both kitchens and bathrooms to lift grease and dirt.
The Tesco version is a standard cleaning product for the supermarket and should be available in the majority of stores nationwide.
Tesco has just under 4,000 shops in the UK – click here to find your nearest one.
The cream cleaner can also be purchased online, but keep in mind there’s a minimum spend of £25 and delivery charges range from £1 to £7.
This isn’t the only cheap cleaning hack we’ve seen – Poundland shoppers are loving a £1 oven cleaner that they say is better than Oven Pride.
Plus, Home Bargains shoppers were raving about a 99p spider repellent spray to keep creepy crawlies away.
