WWE star Kairi Sane has sparked fears that she suffered a concussion during the main-event at TLC.
The 31-year-old Japanese high-flyer successfully defended her women’s tag titles with Asuka in a violent win over Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
Tables, Ladders and Chairs is notoriously one of WWE’s most hard-hitting events, mainly due to the common stipulations of the three objects involved.
And it appears Sane, real name Kaori Hosako, might have been genuinely hurt after a series of vicious bumps that saw her struggle to keep up with spots late in the match.
Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com later revealed that she was examined by WWE officials following the bout with the belief that she suffered a concussion.
It is yet to be confirmed which spot led to Sane’s injury, but many fans pointed to a moment in which it appeared Charlotte and Becky hurled a monitor that struck her on the back of the head.
However, another moment that could have caused the concussion was when 10-time WWE Women’s Champ Charlotte delivered a suplex to Sane that saw her hit the barricade and land headfirst.
The Pirate Princess was also given a Powerbomb through a table for her troubles, which the inaugural Mae Young winner struggled to get in position for.
Despite all this, Sane battled through the whole match which saw her retain her belt after Asuka used a rope to pull down the ladder Lynch had climbed before ascending herself for the win.
Following the match, the RAW Women’s Champion seemed to be aware of the injury after tweeting: “.@KairiSaneWWE You truly are a warrior.”
Paige, who recently managed the Kabuki Warriors, also wrote: “Proud of the ladies main eventing tonight. Wish that the girls got the chance to celebrate afterwards though.
“And sending my love to @KairiSaneWWE she’s a bad ass. Even though you bisshhhes sprayed me with green mist I still love ya!”
Elsewhere at TLC, Daniel Bryan made his return to TV to confront Bray Wyatt after the Eater of Worlds beat The Miz.
And King Corbin scored a win over Roman Reigns following interference from Dolph Zigger and The Revival’s Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.
