A MONSTER mum pretended she had a one-night stand with a man instead of admitting her BROTHER was the father of her children, it can be revealed.
Twisted Sarah Barrass, 35, murdered her two teen sons and tried to kill four more of her children after becoming fearful the kids would be taken into social services if the incestuous relationship with brother Brandon was exposed.
And the Sun Online can reveal how the mother tried to cover her tracks by telling pals an elaborate lie about meeting a man online and sneaking him over to have sex and father the children.
A friend told The Sun Online: “She came around and told me she was pregnant.
“It was totally out of the blue – she said she had been emailing and texting him then invited him over after 9pm to have sex and he left.
“I asked why the dad didn’t have anything to do with the kids and she said it wasn’t that kind of arrangement.”
She claimed Barrass then froze her out after she asked too many questions about the father’s identity.
The mother said: “I asked why she didn’t let the kids see their dad and she said that wasn’t part of the arrangement.”
The friend also said she had initially asked Barrass about her relationship with Brandon but was quickly told they were siblings.
It comes as Barrass and Machin, 37, were jailed for life with a minimum of 35 years at Sheffield Crown Court for strangling son Tristan, 13, and Blake, 14, after trying to poison all six of their kids the day before.
The court was told the couple, who had the same mum, had been having sex together ever since their mid-teens.
Fearing they would be found out by the authorities and their kids taken into care, they decided to kill them. Social services had been in regular contact with the family since 1990.
Speaking to the Sun Online, the friend said she was horrified when she found out what happened – with Barrass having regularly boasted Blake was her favourite child.
The sick mother had shared sick memes on social media before killing her two children – including one showing a man covered in a blood stained shirt reading “when u realize u might have overreacted”. Another reads: “I wonder how often my kids look at me and think ‘this b**** is crazy’.”

Friend of Sarah Barrass
In the weeks leading up to their deaths, twisted Barrass had posted a string of chilling quotes and pictures on Facebook.
She quoted Stephen King in one, saying: “Murder is like potato chips; you can’t stop with just one.”
And the pal said they felt sorry for the children as they grew up in a pigsty home in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield.
The friend said: “We felt sad for the kids.
“They were brilliant but they weren’t allowed out to play, they were kept in a lot.
“If you ever tried to speak to the children, Sarah would answer for the kids.”
The last time she saw Barrass was at the school gates the day before the murders – saying she seemed “odd”.
She added: “Sarah caught my eye – she was the only one in the group of ladies not laughing.”
She said she then saw one of the children come out of the school, with “red and sore-looking” eyes.
Tristan and Blake were buried together in one coffin earlier this year with an enormous cortege of 300 motorcycles and two Lamborghini cars escorting them to their final resting place.
A case review into the deaths of the two boys by People Services at Sheffield City Council is now due to take place.
