THE child star who played Elliott in the film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial has been arrested for an alleged DUII charge.
Henry Thomas, 48, was taken in by cops in Tualatin, Oregon after he allegedly sat idly in his vehicle through several traffic light cycles on Monday night.
Police received a call at 8.30pm about a car that wasn’t moving and when they arrived they found Thomas inside the non-moving vehicle, KGW8 reports.
He was taken into custody after he failed a sobriety test.
Thomas was booked into Washington County Jail for the misdemeanour offence of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).
He starred in Steven Spielberg hit as Elliott, the boy who befriend the alien life-form.
Thomas then went onto appear in other films including Legends of the Fall, Cloak and Dagger and Dear John.
He also featured in the Netflix show The Haunting of Hill House.
Thomas is due to appear in court on November 1 at 8.30am.
