THEY say actions speak louder than words – and it appears Noel Gallagher has firmly closed the door on Liam.
His younger sibling was edited out when Noel was honoured with a top songwriting gong at the BMI awards on Tuesday night.

The Oasis hit-maker was handed the President’s Award in recognition of his influence on song-writing in the music industry.
But before going up to collect his prize, the audience — which included Niall Horan and Raye — watched a lengthy montage of some of Noel’s greatest works.
And seeing as he’s had no UK No1 singles with the High Flying Birds, most of the songs featured were the Oasis tracks he penned.
But apart from a fleeting glimpse of former singer Liam in the back of the taxi when they played a clip from their video to Don’t Look Back In Anger, the troubled younger sibling had been totally erased from Noel’s history.

If that wasn’t enough, Noel refused to name his brother on the red carpet at the bash. He referred to him simply as “the other fella,” and mocked his career — accusing Liam of becoming a tribute act to him.
Noel told us: “I gave 20 years to that band and now this time is for me. Oasis was me and the other fella.
“And now I’m doing my thing and he’s doing my thing.”
Now I totally get why Noel is so keen to wipe Liam out of his life. Who could forget the sick threat he sent to his niece, Noel’s daughter Anais, when warning off Noel’s wife Sara MacDonald.

And I will never allow people to forget the fact he grabbed his missus Debbie Gwyther by the throat during a row on a night out in London.
To make it worse, he denied it until The Sun released CCTV footage showing exactly what he did.
But blood is thicker than water, at the end of the day.
And while Noel was, and still is, the smarter, more charismatic and infinitely more talented of the two — one day he might regret totally dismissing his brother.

As Liam has so keenly begged in recent months for the pair to reunite the band — who split in 2009 — Noel made it plainly clear that ship had sailed.
He said: “I don’t think about Oasis. People these days want you to get back together for anything.
“Oh it’s the anniversary of Bonehead’s hair falling out. Let’s get back together and perform at Noel’s house.
“I have no interest in reforming whatsoever. Never will.”
While my favourite pop star, Rita Ora, might look as though she’s joined Extinction Rebellion’s Red Brigade, she’s not totally lost her marbles.
The singer wore a high-neck gown, featuring a cutout on her chest and thigh-high split for an evening out in London.

And she went all out with the colour block, teaming the flowing frock with red knee-high boots and a spiky headpiece.
I could have done with that when the eco-warriors were jamming up the capital’s streets last week.
Rita headed out with pals as she took a break from filming Twist, a spin-off film based on the story of Oliver Twist.
I exclusively revealed how Rita was dipping her toe back into the acting world after landing the role of the Artful Dodger.

Niall Horan says his former One Direction co-star Harry Styles’ upcoming second album is “very good”.
He also opened up about his new song with Lewis Capaldi, after the Scottish singer confirmed they had worked together.

Niall said: “We went for a Chinese then into the studio next door. We just sat and wrote a tune.
“From what I remember it’s quite good.”
When asked if it would end up on his album or Lewis’s, Niall joked: “Who- ever wants it, I guess. We’ll have to scrap over it.”
My money is on Lewis.
