SPICE up the cold winter evenings with the latest new launch from Nando’s – the “Mozam wrap”.
Inspired by the Mozambique flag, which is black, green, yellow and red, the new tortilla wrap contains a red peri-peri chicken fillet that’s drizzled with rich black garlic sauce.
Inside there’s also a tangy yellow pineapple and coconut chutney, as well as crunchy green lettuce in what Nando’s is describing as its sauciest wrap ever.
Available in all Nando’s restaurants nationwide, the wrap costs £7.35 as a standalone, £9.35 with a regular side and £10.85 with two sides.
50p from each sale will go towards fighting malaria in Mozambique.
In comparison, a standard grilled chicken wrap from Nando’s costs £6.45 on its own, £8.45 with one side and £9.95 with two sides.
Like with all Nando’s chicken, the Mozam wrap lets you select how spicy your want your wrap, with marinade options ranging from plain to extra hot.
AS the Nando's card is free to own, not having one is basically like throwing away free chicken.
Get a Nando’s card – sadly this one is red and not the black card celebs are often rumoured to have – and you’ll earn one chilli for every purchase where you spend at least £7.
Once you hit three chillies you get a free quarter chicken worth £3.95 or a “fire-starter” worth £3.70 – a cheeky deal indeed.
Earn five chillies, and you’ll get a free half chicken or single wrap, pitta or burger worth up to £9.75.
Save up to ten chillies and you’ll get a whole chicken worth £13.25 or a single combo meal with regular sides where prices vary depending on what you choose.
But as you also get one stamp simply for signing up to the scheme, that means you only need to spend £14 to get your first freebie.
If you ordered yours medium, the wrap would add up to 484 calories, 10.3g of fat and 2.9g of salt.
By comparison, a standard Nando’s wrap cooked medium is a higher 551 calories, with 16.9g of fat and 2.8g of salt.
The Sun has asked Nando’s whether the new item is a permanent fixture or limited edition and will update this article when we find out.
There are loads of different sides available that you can have with the wrap including spicy rice, coleslaw, garlic bread, mash, corn on the cob, chips, a side salad, long stem broccoli, saucy spinach or macho peas drenched in pea mash, parsley, mint and chilli.
There are around 444 Nando’s throughout the UK and you can find your nearest restaurant on its website.
Here are ten ways to bag cheap Nando’s from £5 off to cheeky meal hacks as 1.8million freebies go unclaimed.
And now, Nando’s is trialling a new £6 lunch meal deal at 37 branches across the UK.
If you’d rather make your own, Tesco is selling Nando’s meal kits so you can make your own spicy chicken for less than half the price.
