A GAY-HATING Muslim woman in a niqab who screamed “shame on you” at a former Big Brother star has avoided jail – and ordered to take anger management classes.
Jamila Choudhury, 38, was filmed by witnesses abusing Gay Pride marchers, including Carole Vincent, 65, as they took to the streets in Walthamstow, east London, on July 27.
A video of Choudhury clad in a black niqab and a shouting “shame, shame” as people marched past her went viral.
In the video, she is heard shouting: “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
“Shame on you, shame on all of you. Shame on you, you despicable people. Shame on you, you shameless people.”
Carole, who was fifth in the eighth Big Brother series in 2007, wore a rainbow flag as she marched for LGBTQ rights.
Despite the abuse, she shouted back “We still love you, you will not shame me.”
Prosectutor Hena Baig told the court: “This case stems from homophobic comments made towards the group.
“The incident happened when the Walthamstow Pride was the King William Pub walking towards the town centre.”
Thames Magistrates’ Court heard that the parade passed by the Blue Leaf Cupping Clinic where Choudhury as a receptionist.
Ms Baig told the court: “On the return journey of the parade, between 12.15 and 12.30 in the afternoon, there were witnesses that said she made homophobic comments towards the people who were participating in the parade.
“Some of these comments were on one of the videos which were recorded.
“On one of the videos the defendant is seen to be shouting in the face of Carole Vincent.”
Ms Baig said that a steward tried to intervene but Choudhury kept screaming and following Ms Vincent.
Ms Vincent, who was one of the march’s organisers, said in a victim impact statement: “I was very shocked particularly at the pride march to be confronted by a Muslim woman in full niqab.
“I was shaken, she because she came out aggressively shouting and pointing abuse to the marchers, which included children, including my grandson.
“The woman shouting the abuse to the group has deeply upset me because I have nothing but love for the Muslim community.”
The court heard that Choudhury was under a one year community order placed in March for a racially aggravated public order offence after she called a TfL employee at Whitechapel Underground Station a “black piece of trash”.

District Judge Diana Pigot told Choudhury: “Your behaviour was directed to those part in the Waltham Forest Pride march.
“You called them despicable because of their sexuality, and that sort of offence is not tolerated by the courts.
“You stood on the pavement shouting at those who were lawfully and peacefully taking part in a march.
“The video shows you behaviour to be unduly aggressive and a steward had to separate you from one of those taking part in a march.
“One of them described, and I fully agree with them, as an attack on their community.”
Several supporters of Choudhury, also wearing niqabs, watched from the public gallery.
One of them was caught taking photos of the courtroom and made to delete them from her phone by a security guard.
Choudhury was given a three-month sentence suspended for 12 months. In addition she was given a 40-day anger management activity.
The judge ordered her to pay £100 compensation to nine of the people she abused in the incident, in £10 a week instalments.
She admitted seven counts of using threatening, or abusive words or behaviour to cause alarm or distress while two further charges, which she denied, were ordered to lie in file.
