PRINCE Andrew’s sex abuse accuser tried to extort millions out of Victoria’s Secret boss Les Wexner, a court has heard.
Virginia Roberts, who says she slept with the royal three times, was accused of claiming she had been abused by Mr Wexner – who founded the lingerie brand – to obtain money.
The claim was made in a court case involving Miss Roberts and 81-year-old Alan Dershowitz – a prominent lawyer who she also alleges abused her.
Dershowitz had previously claimed: “Roberts made up the accusations out of whole cloth in order to obtain millions of dollars from Leslie Wexner.”
His lawyers told a Manhattan court on Tuesday that the Wexner allegations Miss Roberts had made were relevant to Dershowitz’s own case against her.
Miss Roberts, 36, is suing ex-Harvard professor Dershowitz for defamation, after he called her a liar for claiming he had abused her.
Howard Cooper, a lawyer for Dershowitz, said that one of his client’s defences in court will be proving his claims over Miss Roberts’ Wexner allegations.
Prince Andrew, 59, has also repeatedly denied Miss Roberts’ claims that he slept with her, after the pair were introduced by his paedo pal Jeffrey Epstein.
