AN Amazon customer asked for his delivery driver to wear a pretty hat — and was left in stitches when the courier turned up in a bright red fez.
Mark McManus, 28, put the cheeky request under “additional instructions” on his order form but then forgot all about it.
He was astonished when his parcel was brought by a man in headgear made famous by 1970s comic Tommy Cooper, known for his catchphrase “Just like that!”
Mark’s home security system filmed the scene and he put the footage on Amazon’s Facebook page.
He wrote: “So on my instructions I’d completely forgotten I’d put in, ‘Please wear a pretty hat’. Joking of course and no one has ever taken it seriously.
“This driver turns up, points at his hat, explains what the instructions say and turns up wearing some form of bucket on his head.
“Made my day, what a great guy ha ha.”
Trevor Vernon replied: “Hats off to him.”
Lianne Minshull added: “That’s customer service excellence right there.”
Mark, of Totnes, Devon, said: “He was a great laugh.
“I’ve no idea why I put that instruction and completely forgot, which made it funnier.
“I was confused at first when he pointed to his hat but, when he explained, we burst out laughing.”
