AMY Hart has fuelled Love Island feud rumours after giving a bizarre explanation for why she doesn’t see her former co-stars.
Earlier this week, fans began to speculate that the 26-year-old blonde had fallen out with her fellow Islanders when they noticed that she didn’t join the cast trip to Ibiza – and failed to invite any of them to her party.
The former air stewardess was quizzed on the rumours during an Instagram Q&A earlier today, but her answer didn’t appear to hold much weight.
A fan asked: “How come you hardly hang out with any of the other Islanders?”
Wearing sunglasses while being driven in a car, Amy filmed herself as she explained: “Because I live in Worthing, so if I’m in London I’m working and if I have time off I’m in Worthing.
“I love them all dearly and I can’t wait to see them all. We’re all so busy.”
She concluded the video with a huge grin to the camera.
Despite struggling to find the time to see her ITV2 pals, Amy was happy to drive to Essex on Friday to clear out Gemma Collins’ wardrobe for her.
Amy was left so busy with the self-confessed diva’s errands that she ended up missing her last train back home – forced to crash at a nearby pal’s house and splash out on new clothes the following day.
The star was best friends with many of the Love Island girls before she left the villa – with her shock departure leaving them in tears following her split from Curtis Pritchard.
But since the show ended, she has barely been spotted with any of them – despite the others seeming close on social media.
She also skipped a recent trip to Ibiza, which saw the likes of Chris Taylor, Lucie Donlan, Jordan Hames, Joe Garratt, Tom Walker and Belle Hassan jet to the White Isle to celebrate Danny Williams’ birthday.
And during her own welcome home party at the weekend, Amy’s co-stars were nowhere to be seen as she celebrated her post-villa life with her family and hometown friends.
In a telling speech, Amy was shown telling attendees at the bash: “The criteria for today’s invitation list was as follows – nice to me before the villa, supportive whilst I was in the villa, and nice to me when I came out of the villa.
“A lot of people that have been in my life for a long time didn’t actually meet that criteria… Which is really sad but I am so grateful that I have all of you.”
The situation hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans of the ITV2 show, with a number thinking it means Amy is locked in a huge feud with the others.
Writing on Reddit, one anxious fan posted about The Sun Online’s story earlier this week which revealed how Amy had been banned from the Ibiza trip alongside “fakes” Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.
They wrote: “Molly-Mae and Tommy I could understand because of the chaos surrounding her and Anton at the reunion.
“But Amy? I’m confused about that… she was out of the villa for a decent amount of time and always alluded to positive relations with the other Islanders, is there bad blood between Amy and some others?”
Another wrote on Twitter: “Does anyone else feel that Amy is a bit isolated from the other Islanders since the finale?
“Don’t really see any of the Islanders liking or commenting on her posts. Or is it just me.”
One reason for the potential feud could be that Amy was unhappy with how her gal pals including Amber Gill and Anna Vakili grew close to Curtis’ new love interest, Maura Higgins, after she left.
Speaking to 2018 Islander Dr Alex George on his YouTube channel last month, she seemed to suggest their friendships were over, saying: “They’re now loving him with Maura.
“You’re meant to be my mates. Thanks girls.”
Maura has since landed a coveted spot as This Morning’s agony aunt, and winner Amber was asked to become a Loose Women panellist – while Amy is still waiting to be invited back following her appearance on the ITV show.
