A COP who worked off-duty as a bodyguard for celebrities is facing the sack over claims he sent racist texts.
Hulking 6ft 5in Sergeant Ian Wells, 44, also allegedly posted a photo at the scene where an Asian man hanged himself from a tree in a park.
Sgt Wells, jokingly nicknamed Bluff — standing for Big, lazy, ugly, fat f****r — by some pals, was a minder for stars while working off-duty at a security firm.
Photos show the black-suited cop in the background guarding Barry Manilow, Katherine Jenkins and Katie Price.
He also tried to cover up a busty streaker at a celebrity football tournament at West Ham’s former stadium.
Sgt Wells faces a gross misconduct hearing today.
It is alleged the dad of three sent racist text messages and jokes to friends from 2009-11.
A source claimed: “Among the messages was a photo of an Asian man who hanged himself from a tree with a vile and offensive remark accompanying the image.”
Sgt Wells is also said to have used Met Police intelligence systems to get the name of a suspect who broke into the home of a non-cop pal.
The East Londoner is further alleged to have made racist comments in public and tormented a sleeping black man on a Tube.
The source said: “They are very serious allegations. He will be sacked if any of them is proved.”
