FORMER Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews has launched his own bespoke luxury diamond jewellery business after designing now-wife Vogue’s engagement ring.
The TV personality was inspired to start his new venture – Eden Rocks – after working with jeweller Neil Duttson – known in the industry as The Rock Doctor.
The 29-year-old, best known for being a major ladies’ man during his time on Made in Chelsea, has now turned his hand to jewellery and set up a luxury diamond business.
Dad-of-one Spencer said: “Creating Vogue’s engagement ring opened my eyes to the diamond business and their margins.
“Men are spending up to three month’s wages on the ring, but a large part of that is going towards the store’s marketing and packaging and not the diamond itself.
“Neil knows everything there is to know about diamonds and can source superior stones from the same mines as the industry’s most luxurious brands.
“We design each piece together, offering a bespoke jewellery experience where we bring our clients’ ideas to life.”
The jewellers have already designed pieces for a number of celebrities including Celebrity Big Brother host Emma Willis, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, and tennis superstar Serena Williams.
Eton-educated Spencer, who is thought to be worth around £2.9 million, states that because Eden Rocks has no expensive retail or marketing overheads – with customers getting in touch through the company’s Instagram page and website – they are able to produce top-quality diamond jewellery for a fraction of the price of the leading brands.
Vogue and Spencer are set to star in the second series of their E4 reality show when it screens this autumn – Spencer, Vogue and Baby Too.
