JOSE MOURINHO has hinted at a future move to the Bundesliga after the axed Manchester United boss revealed he is learning German.
The Portuguese manager has been out of work since being sacked by the Red Devils last December but is edging closer to a return to the dugout.
The 56-year-old was linked with the posts at Lyon and Newcastle, while recent reports stated that he turned down Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.
A factor in the self-professed Special One’s decision could have been because Mourinho is eyeing a potential switch to Germany and the Bundesliga.
Asked about his future, he told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I really miss football. I miss the adrenaline, the field, my job. Football is football.
“Right now, I am studying German. Bundesliga? Now, I’m studying German because I miss the language. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian.
Bundesliga? Now, I’m studying German because I miss the language. But I do not exclude anything, not even Germany

“But I do not exclude anything, not even Germany.”
Mourinho has recently been working as a pundit for beIN Sports – but he is almost behind schedule in his plan to get back into management.
The former Chelsea boss had given himself a July deadline to get started at any new team so as to have them playing his way by the start of next season.
In May, Mourinho claimed: “I have a lot of qualities and one of them is to respect other clubs and their management.
“I have never spoken like ‘this club wanted me, they contacted me’.
“When I left Manchester United in December, I immediately took the decision I want to work from summer.
“I hope to be back to work in July in a project I really like.”
