THIS summer, it’s been impossible to avoid the extreme underboob bikini trend or the racy high leg swimsuits which have taken our social media feeds by storm.
And it looks like these divisive designs are here to stay as a VERY revealing new swimswear collection has just hit the catwalk at Miami Swim Week.
Let’s just say, this is a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen[/caption]
American designer Chloe Rose debuted her latest swimwear range in Miami over the weekend.
Taking inspiration from the Love Island underboob trend, the designer also paid tribute to the bafflingly high-cut bikini bottom trend which divided the internet earlier this year.
And while most of us would either pair a more revealing top with some high-coverage bottoms (or vice versa), the swimwear combined both these racy trends in her one-piece costumes.
Harking back to 80s Baywatch, Chloe Rose’s swimsuits featured an extremely high-cut leg as well as a gaping cut-out under the boobs and over the torso.

This orange swimsuit combined the underboob trend with the sky-high bikini bottom style[/caption]

These swimming costumes are the definition of ‘poolside posing’[/caption]
Not to mention how each of the designs are bound to show off a generous amount of sideboob on the beach,
In other words, these cossies are the very definition of “poolside posing” and don’t exactly serve the most practical purpose.
What’s more, even the designer’s range of bikinis featured a range of rather uncomfortable cuts.
While one leopard-print bikini had an equally high-cut bottom half, another was made entirely of our grandma’s favourite tweed.
As amazing as it looks on, we’d give this revealing bikini a miss[/caption]
A tweed bikini on the other hand is WAY out of our comfort zone[/caption]
A pink plaid bikini-skirt set is a look we can get on board with[/caption]
But the one design we could see ourselves modelling on our next holiday? The pretty pink tartan bikini and skirt which wouldn’t look out of place in Cher Horowitz’s wardrobe.
This isn’t the first time the Miami Swim Week catwalk has graced us with some weird and wonderful designs.
Last year, stick-on swimwear became the talking point of the event as models were sent down the catwalk in Duct-Tape bikinis.
Leaving equally little to the imagination, these startling pieces of “swimwear” were effectively made up of a strip of tape covering the nipple and crotch area.
In more fashion news, PrettyLittleThing is selling an extremely revealing bikini and beach skirt set – and shoppers have joked their “flab would be everywhere”.
And fashion fans are going wild for Home Bargains’ £1.99 de-bobbler which transforms your clothes in seconds.
Plus shoppers have mocked Boohoo’s diamante swimsuit for being “tacky” and called it a “guaranteed wedgie”.
